Roy High Dances

School dances are intended for Roy High School students to enjoy socializing with their peers in the safest possible environment. Dances are a privilege - not a right. Be sure to abide by expectations so that privilege is not removed from you. Behavior that violates expectations may affect whether you may attend future dances. 

ID Cards: ALL students (guests and Roy students) must show student body ID cards to be admitted to each dance and all tickets must be purchased by a Roy student through the bookkeeper prior to the day before the dance at 3pm. Tickets will be available 1 week prior to the dance. No tickets may be purchased at the dance.

Guest Guidelines

Roy High students may bring one guest per event under the following conditions:

  • Eligibility:

    • The guest must attend another Weber School District high school.

    • Junior high students are not permitted.

    • Graduated individuals are not permitted.

  • Requirements & Deadlines:

Behavioral Expectations

To maintain a safe and respectful environment, the following are strictly prohibited:

  • Academic/Citizenship Standing: Students with more than 4 tardies or absences in any single class are ineligible to attend the dance. An exclusion list will be shared one week prior to the dance. 

  • Inappropriate Behavior: Students may be asked to leave the dance, may be suspended from school, and/or may be denied participation in future dances and extracurricular activities per school administration based on individual behavior.

  • Inappropriate Dancing: No vulgar, seductive, or inappropriate movements (such as grinding, "freaking," or freak dancing).

  • No bags: No bags, clutches, packs, etc. will be allowed into the venue. 

  • Inappropriate Attire: No removing of clothing.

  • Roughhousing: No "moshing," slamming, violent pushing, shoving, crowd-surfing, or passing students overhead.

  • Disruptive Conduct: No throwing of objects or running through the dance area.

  • Entry/Exit Rules:

    • No sneaking outside guests or non-ticket holders into the dance.

    • Once you exit the venue, there is no re-admittance.
